PowerPoint is easy to use, but working with Titles in PD is imo not optimal. One year ago, I received NewBlueFX Titler Pro 1, as a bonus, but it refused to work, because of insufficient gfx performance of my notebook.
Voila, with the Win 10 upgrade, it started to work. I received an option to upgrade to Titler Pro 4. Does anyone use it along with the PD 14? I would like to upgrade, but most probably only if it works as a plugin to PD, which I am not sure about Thanks, Petr. Nov 27, No plug-in, just standalone. Nov 27, What are the implications? How can I invoke it? And get the result back? Nov 27, Quote: What are the implications? Nov So far, I can't easily imagine the workflow - just imagine tweaking the subtitles and the need to export the video, import into library, put again on the timeline.
I will see, how tiresome it is in comparison to the plugin. Thanks for all your help! Dec 03, Sorry to bump the topic, but after hacking few things around a bit, I managed PD14 to work with the latest Titler Pro 4. PD basically uses small wrapper DLL to launch a titler. Via some Windows registry changes, I substituted Titler Pro 1 by the latest version. It actually can start the new Titler Pro 4, but the SW somehow recongises it and generates a watermark cross, which can't be removed.
It is really a shame, that CL did not upgrade the plugin and is not part of other 10 systems, which actually can work with the NewblueFX Titler Pro 4. I just wonder, if we would bug tech support enough, if they would be able to update a plugin wrapper? Dec 04, The hack is brilliant, at least to a non-tech such as myself. If it could work properly I would even upgrade to Titler 4, but I'll bet I could get Titler 3 for cheap if I looked around. While the Titler can be run, the result is not stable and of course the watermark is the problem.
I contacted NewBlue tech support asking, if there is any chance the plugin wrapper gets updated. What is the problem with this? It doesn't appear in my Powerdirector 14? I have to go to a standalone version and then export a finished file which I then import to Powerdirector That is such a pain. It costs so much money even at discount and I can't use it directly in Powerdirector! I actually enjoy using the 1. So impressed I bought the 4.
Now this is such a let down! They clearly don't think much of PD as a video editor! Is there any way to get this working within PD14? Jan 09, Can the watermark file be removed or altered? Jan 10, Watermark can't be removed. And my "hack" is not a proper solution anyway, it does not work as expected, it was just a proof, that the solution would not be difficult to get supported. If more users would create a push to both companies, someone could do it.
My "hack" above just proved, that the solution should be quite easy, as the wrapper DLL already exists. But - you know companies. Jan 10, If you use NLE for commercial work you shouldn't use PowerDirector anyway, it's not licensed for commercial use of h or h video formats, regardless of encapsulation mp4, mkv.
The only license free for commercial use in this program is for the WMV. I would look to something like Edius Pro 8 that is supported by NewBlue. But is a very different NLE workflow. Jan 15, Why can't Cyberlink push the company to integrate this software? It can't be that difficult. Some of us are only working in the amateur fields, and can't afford to be splashing out hundreds and even thousands for a new 'NLE'.
Besides I like Cyberlink as it's fairly easy to use. Now I have a Titler Pro 4 that has sneaked in a bunch of its templates into my Cyberlink which are for what reason? To tempt me into buying new packs?
If it can sneak in through the back door a bunch of effects, transitions and templates why can't it just integrate the entire package so I can use it within Powerdirector? I paid for it! Why has it added stuff after I installed Titler Pro 4 that's useless because it's watermarked?
Are you serious? I can't afford to be paying such sums of money for home movies! C'mon Cyberlink, support your customers! I supported you buying your products! Jan 15, Well, this is a business, but on the other hand, total amateurish aproach - so CL releases Titler Pro 1 as a bonus plugin, but is not able to negotiate newer versions? As I already proven, it almost works by a simple user hack.
It would take a programmer few hours to adapt to the new version. Hey - release the wrapper DLL and I will manage to tweak it, I am more an IT guy, than a videographer or photographer, I just run small studio here as a hobby : That said, I don't give a s.. Jan 16, Dear -pekr- Sorry I haven't 'bugged' either of them, well, not directly.
I kind of thought this forum might have some connections to the aforementioned companies. I do see a 'Cyberlink' logo top left of the screen. It looks real, I did connect to it through a link on the Cyberlink Powerdirector programme which I use so it all looks real Surely there are some moderators on here that have some connection to the company?
Doest it still exist? Who knows in this modern day who the 'ell I'm connecting to or sending my money to I might be paying for any sort of Ok sorry British humour. I just want a fair deal. Is that too much to ask? They seem to think bombarding me before Xmas with this deal, that deal and the next deal is 'fair' game and both companies have done this.
Is it too much now that I've paid my cash, followed the highly professional ads and stumped up the money that I get some support here?? Well, maybe not, after all, money talks, BS walks as they say. And the little guy me is part of the BS. I just don't have that kind of money. Nor do I want to spend months learning some new process to make a video of my grandkids jumping through hoops.
If I may offer some praise here, Cyberlink Powerdirector does a fine job of that, kids jumping through hoops and the like. Me looking like the overweight grandad that I am. I'm 62 years old! I've been using Cyberlink for years, literally years. Crashing, blue screens yeah that was great fun. Cyberlink works well, has a noobie easy to use interface but manages what I consider fairly proffesional results.
I'm not with the BBC so I couldn't comment how good or bad my videos are. I agree with -pekr-. It's beyond time someone in this company does something to help and move beyond amateur! That is unbelievable!!!! Titler 4 after installation threw a bunch of its parts into my powerdirector!!!
